Teaching portfolio

• Posture for class
  情報理論分野から広がった符号理論，情報セキュリティ分野の基礎をその分野での必要な内容までじっくり教えている．また，実験でのPCの組み立てやOSのインストール，ネットワークにおけるルータやスイッチの設定などといったコンピュータやネットワークの技術を習得し，応用できるよう指導している．

• Self-evaluation of educational activities
  理論的な内容の講義が多いが，なるべく手を動かすような演習問題などを用意しており，合格した学生はそれなりの実力を備えていると考えている．

• Training activities to improve classes
  学会に参加することによって最新の動向を得てそれらを組み入れるとともに，学内のFDに参加している．

• Active learning
  実験科目でのレポート作成までの一連の取組，卒業研究指導などがある．

• Outline of main course subjects and achievement targets
  • 情報理論
    コンピュータサイエンスの基礎理論である情報理論を情報源符号化を中心に教授している．Shannon流の情報理論は，現在のディジタル通信に必要不可欠な基盤技術となっており，データ圧縮などでの符号化にその応用をみることができる．この講義では，情報量の概念，情報源符号化を中心に離散系の情報理論について論じている．情報学のなかでも情報量の定量化や情報圧縮の基礎知識とそれを応用し実践する能力を身につけることを目指しており，受講者ベース60％の合格を目標としている．

    2018年度の受講者ベースの合格率52%，受験者ベースの合格率77%(51名合格)．合格した学生は，情報の定量化や情報圧縮の分野の知識をそれなりに持っていると評価する．
